I learned to knit and crochet at a pretty youg age and I have been knitting ever since. There has been periods when I didn't knit that much, but I always come back to it at some point. It's safe to say that knitting surely is one of my dearest hobbies.

Recently I have been more active with knitting and the more I knit, the more I come up with new ideas for projects. I also noticed that the more I knit, the more difficult it was to find patterns that suit my vision of the end product precisely. That's when I started to think that maybe I should start designing my own patterns so I can make the products exactly as I wish.

I actually started Helli Knits a few years ago by making chunky wool blankets and beanies. Although that was a lovely project, I find knitting more complex pieces and designing knitting patterns much more inspiring and rewarding.
